the hard thing about home renovation tv is you have to do both— make a television show, and renovate a house, at the same time. and, often, you’re doing both in a shorter timeline than it would normally take to renovate a house or make a tv show. 6 weeks of renovation calls for some stressed out contractors and contestants, especially when you make them stop down to do interviews and press. here’s where lisa morgan comes in. i had to bridge the renovation aspect of the show with the television aspect of the show— one could not get neglected over the other.

in addition to playing both sides, i was also in charge of handling the contestant’s renovation budget and purchases. i had their $100,000(+) budget tracked down to the penny, and purchased and tracked all of their building supplies. home depot and lowes loved (or hated) to see me coming. with budgeting skills, a production card, excel spreadsheets, a pod and a u-haul i am to be reckoned with.
